My family never went with any tradition. I don't really know what traditional food would mean. It really is going to vary from culture to culture, and the US is full of so many.

If I went with my Russian heritage, we'd be celebrating Christmas in January.

I had pot roast (had white potatoes and don't know what kind of oil it was cooked in) for my Christmas Day dinner. I ate plenty of wheat cookies (I helped make them, so I know they had butter in them). We were going to have ham (Trader Joe's uncured, no idea what comes in the glaze packet, but I believe it's soy free), but Boyfriend ran out of energy.
