    Sour cream substitution

I'm going to make a baked sweet potato with bacon, onions and sour cream for a Christmas dinner with friends. But one of the girls is lactose intolerant. Any options to substitute the sour cream with?

Just a LITTLE bit of salt and apple cider vinegar can tart coconut milk to taste like sour cream. What you'll need to do is chill the coconut milk so that the liquids separate from the solids, which will give it a thicker consistency. Once you have the solids, add just a bit of salt and vinegar to taste, until you get the right flavor.

Dairy-free yogurt. You can make your own if you have at least 4 hours but twelve it better. Make some cashew creme, add some probiotics and keep it warm. Pop in fridge for a couple hours to chill.
