    sesame seeds and Tahini

    I just wonder whether tahini or sesame seeds are OK with the paleo diet?

    Yes, they're ok. They've got very high omega-6s and low omega-3s if you're concerned about that sort of thing.

    thanks. I thought the idea behind the paleo diet was also trying for high omega 3 and low as possible omega 6? if this is the case than this would not be a good food to consume unless it's done in low quantities

    Flax seed much better, IMO

    Yes, but sesame is so flavorful. It's not bad, and for the amount of flavor you get, it's worth the omega-6s. It's not like you will be consuming more than 1/4 cup a day.
