I make about 1 c of sauce by mixing about 3 oz of tomato paste, 2 oz of red wine vinegar, 3 oz water and a bunch of Italian spices like garlic, basil, oregano, etc. + salt

Sure! I do the taste test with the sauce as I mix the spices in so I can get it just how I want it that day. Oh, I forgot to mention onion powder. Def. a lot of onion pwd! If you want it a little spicy-smoky, add chipotle
