    Welcome Tindy!

This is getting very exciting. I will do my official start measurements tomorrow. I plan to drink etc. today.

I have to do this with all the crap still in the house. I have four men in my home who are no where near Primal.

I think my bingeing this week has a lot to do with deprivation, feeling like I was going to miss out on something. I also eat due to stress. In my case, this is usually financial or work related. I really need to work on these issues too.

Sigi - Thanks for getting us started.

OMG I totally forgot that I bought 5 avocados specifically for this challenge (I'll buy more... just wanted to get through the week).

I got 3 that were very dark in color (scraping the stem area with my fingernail produced an awesome avocado green so they must be ready) and two that were green in color so they don't go bad on me before I get to them.

I thought about making some egg salad (have about a cup of homemade mayo in the fridge) and eating them with that. I tried avocado once (and guacamole) and wasn't too impressed b/c there wasn't much flavor there - and the creamy texture was a bit off for me, but I really want to give them a chance b/c I know they're a "superfood" (according to Subway). Tell me, how do you use them?

I slice them up for salad toppings. I also make avocado chicken or egg salad. Avocado deviled eggs are awesome too.
Sometimes I just cut one in half, salt it and eat it out of the shell with a spoon.

I like to eat avocado halves with salt, straight from the shell, or sliced up/scooped out on top of any kind of eggs.

That sounds like a really healthy way to look at it . Well done.

I typically eat avocados as guac. I make my own with pico de gallo, extra garlic and jalepenos and lime juice and salt.

I tried guac at a mexican restaurant once. It was pretty bland and tasteless - it made me wonder what the point was behind it. I can see the point for US, but not as a condiment b/c it was seriously pointless to me. It didn't add anything to the nachos I was eating.

I figured if I chopped it up and added it to my egg salad it would blend right in texture-wise, and since it was pretty tasteless as a guac, I didn't figure it would affect my egg salad much. But maybe I'm fooling myself.

No salad fixin's at home, so not going to be used as a salad topper... At least not this week. And I'm not really a big salad eater unless we're going out and it comes as a side dish. I'd almost like to mix it in with foods, to be perfectly honest with you.
