Oh my gosh! Maybe that is what is wrong with me! I keep getting bad stomach cramps around 1.5-2 miles into my run. I've been trying to figure it out before the 10k! Oh I hope that is it.. The xylitol actually gets my IBD active with just a small regular amount (ie. a tsp every day).

I weighed this morning for the first time in six days and hadn't lost anything....and was rather depressed til I got a look at myself while I was dressing. My stomach is definitely happier - I'm getting more of a soft rounded Buddha belly rather than the three rolls of fat belly. So something good is happening there.
