So at the end of this summer I started thinking about cycling away from some seasonal fruits for the winter (no berries, for example), increasing root vegetables, etc...trying to concentrate on the 'eat what local landscape is giving you' principle.

And this fall/winter it seems like I have just wanted to east less volume of food, eat higher fat, and my ability to fast 18-20hrs is a breeze. Obviously my outside running around is down too, but I have upped my heavy lifting. I have never truly attempted to be in ketosis, more like just being low carb. But the last few weeks I feel like I have just stumbled into it naturally. In early December 5lbs just fell off in a day or two it seemed.

Anyone else experience this? Just thought I'd share something that is a welcome surprise...makes me feel like I am doing something right...
