My coworker told me about American Pride Foods this morning. He just found it and they ship caribou, venison, reindeer (!!!), bison and more out of Alaska. How cool is that!! Reindeer sausage for Christmas? Yes, please!

Anyway, I thought it was too awesome to not share. I just bought a free-shipping sampler to use as gifts for some of the guys in my family.

Oooh looks yummy. Hate to be a buzzkill but their sausage options all have either sugar, corn syrup, or hydrolysed plant protein (which I'm guessing is soy). The actual burgers and other cuts of game meat look great though.

But honestly - I had the pleasure of staying for a week in a hut on a North Sea island once (Sylt), and the floor was covered in a reindeer skin. SOFTEST thing EVER, and I have had my tootsies in some skins, growing up partially in the rural villages of Germany.
