Hi,
I just had a sinus surgery in which a growth about 1/4 inch in diameter was removed from my lower septum. The mucosal tissue under and around the growth was completely removed, down to the cartilage. My doctor tells me it typically takes 3-6 months to completely regrow, and there is usually scar tissue.
My question: Should I be eating more of any specific type of food to help promote the healing process? I currently take 6-10g of fish oil most days, but no other supplements. Besides that I eat paleo.
Thanks for any advice,
Jonah
Ouch! You poor thing.
Bone broth is very good for what ails ya in the healing process. Also any soups that are made with lots of connective tissue and such, e.g.oxtail, would seem to be good for regrowing your damaged cartilage and tissue.
I wish you a speedy recovery.
