Any acceptable store bought box chocolate assorments? Is this one "ok."

this a box of dark chocolate sea salt caramels, aside from the short list of iffy stuff, would it be good in a pinch?

I often make my own chocolates by melting down bakers chocolate or lindt bars and putting the into molds but they don't travel well and are often semi-melted by the time i get them anywhere if i don't have them wrapped in cold. Which i don't mind doing but as we get closer to christmas time gets a bit short and it would be easier just to purchase chocolates for guests than make it.

So if anyone could give me some recommendations for box assortments I could buy with like chocolate covered nuts, cremes, etc that would be great.

Do you have to get boxed chocolates? My friends love it when I get them chocolate bars because they have more options of what to do with them. They also tend to be healthier than the boxed chocolates.

well my problem with giving out homemade chocolate is 1. it gets very expensive very fast. and 2. they start to melt almost immediately after being taken off cold. and making caramel and cremes is kind of tedious and while i like doing it(to an extent) id like to just buy some to make things easier on myself.

especially right now as when I go to get togethers id like to bring a long some thing I would partake in without making a giant mess.

Oh gosh I give out store bought chocolate bars.

The Dagoba or Chocolove or Green & Black's or even Lindt bars mostly are not filled with soy like the boxed chocolates often are. You have to check the labels though. Some are, some aren't.

You can package a straight 85% chocolate bar as "melting chocolate" for hot chocolate with a mug or a pretty spoon (if you're cheap, like me).

There are some pretty good primal truffle recipes on MDA as well. However they do melt quickly.

Dagoba, Scharffen Berger, and Righteously Raw are all really good. Try Amano, too!

i've heard of all 3 of these but amano. Looking at their website why don't they list the ingredients in their chocolate. I can't find a list of stuff they use in their products anywhere either. why so secretive.

They also tend to be healthier than the boxed chocolates.
