    Really bad tooth staining

    Primal Fuel
I have really bad tooth staining on the inside of my teeth - not the outside ... I am fairly sure it is coming from eating berries ... Does anyone have solutions for this, besides going to the dentist?

    Thanks!

ahaha i just started doing that again ... TODAY. I've been browsing through the forums, reading up on it again. I did it around an year ago, but I got lazy :P

Does coconut oil actually help STAINING or just reduces plaque/bacteria?

After I switched from conventional toothpaste with its glycerin and artificial whitening agents to a more natural version, I noticed my teeth weren't as white as they had been. Brushing with baking soda helps dramatically! Just be sure to only do it once or twice a week max as baking soda is a mild abrasive. If you want extra whitening power, brush with hydrogen peroxide after your regular tooth care routine.

I've always heard gargling with hydrogen peroxide once or twice a day works on stains, but I've never actually tried it. I'm impressed you can even see the inside of your teeth that well!

...although I've never actually tried so maybe mine are just as stained and I've never noticed...

Actually, baking soda is less abrasive than a lot of commercial whitening toothpastes. I gargle with a diluted peroxide solution and brush with baking soda.

My experience with oil pulling is that it results in noticeable stain removal. My guess to how this works is that some stains are hydrophilic and some are hydrophobic.
