When you stop eating bread, what are you replacing it with?
Here we go ... 'Officially' went primal on Monday, although finished last loaf and binned rice & oats last Thursday. I've been feeling great and pretty good about how simple it's been, but today my stomach's started gurgling.
Pretty sure the lav will be in for a pebble dashing tomorrow morning - I paint a lovely picture don't I?
Fairly confident this is what happened on Atkins and the last time I went PB (& low carb).
Is this a common reaction or am I just a bit odd?

Griff's cholesterol primer
bloodorchid: paleo and primal are not low carb
Winterbike: What I eat every day is what other people eat to treat themselves.
Nothing specifically. My diet's changed entirely so no need for the bread. Where I took sandwiches to the office I now take in a BAS or homemade soup with bacon 'croutons', etc.
It could be that your body is adjusting...
Very common with any large changes in ones diet.
was just going to suggest that body might be detoxing. Fun, eh?
btw, primal/paleo is not a low carb lifestyle. It can be if you want to gorge on delicious fat and protein, but there are plenty of folks here who follow a low or moderate fat life with lots of veggies & fruit for carbs
