    Need ideas for meals

    Primal Fuel
Hey guys, I've recently become interested in nutrition and didn't realise the consequences on your body diet has.

I regular weight train and eat quite a lot as I'm looking to increase mass.

This was my diet before reading upon nutrition.

    3 weetabix and milk. Ribena.
3 eggs and half tin of beans or 2 sausage, beans, waffles, tomato and egg. Capri sun.(work breakfast)

    Post work
3 eggs and half tin of beans (just once if no work)
Tea (varied as mum makes but I don't eat chips, pizza etc. I did eat pasta and mince.
3 chicken thighs, broccoli and lettuce or pasta with cheese and sauce.

A lot of Ribena and sometimes milk.

Just to confirm that is my old diet.

    My current one is...

Drinks - just water and green tea.

Meal 1 - Cheerios with a little bit of milk.
Meal 2 - work meal same as above but no Capri sun.
Meal 3 - farmed salmon (want wild though), new potatoes and lettuce
Meal 4 - 3 chicken thighs, brown rice/broccoli and lettuce.
Meal 5 - 3 eggs and Half tin of beans.

I also now eat walnuts and take 1000mg fish oil per day.

in my new diet I'm removing eggs because I've had constant bloating for the last few months and I'm unsure where its coming from. I may be allergic to some part of my diet and so ill try cut out eggs for a few weeks.

I'm Also going to try stop eating potatoes because I didn't realise it had so much sugar.

My question is what meal could replace eggs and beans because I need to replace it to maintain my mass progression.

Also is there any part of my diet you think needs tweaking.

    Thanks

Get rid of the cheerios. Invest in some primal/paleo cookbooks. I really like Make It Paleo and Paleo Comfort Foods.

Have you read the Primal Blueprint or have any idea what this lifestyle is about? We frown upon wheat products here. Whole grain doesn't make a bit of a difference. Stick to no wheat, no legumes,no corn or soy. Eat a lot of meat and vegetables, limit the sugar and avoid processed foods.

It needs to be no grain! I agree with the above comments, you need to read the Primal Blueprint and do some research. Primal/Paleo folks eat no grains, beans, legumes and limit starchy veggies (unless we are athletes). Some of us eat whole organic/raw dairy, others do not, you have some reading to do!

    Leftovers from last night?
    Bacon and eggs?
    Steak?
    Chicken Breast or thighs?

Ditch the cheerios and eat real food.

Read the books and start here

    Read the book, Northerner!

Bacon and eggs is the breakfast of champions, some folk here drink bulletproof coffee in the mornings. They say it can be done with tea too, I'm still trying to come to terms with the idea of butter in my Earl Grey. I remain unconvinced.

Ditch the lettuce, add spinach, kale, Swiss chard, collard greens, mustard greens, bok choy, etc.
Forgo the rice and beans, beef up on beef.
    Tea is fine, drink up.
Salmon is fine, wild is best, but do what you gotta do.
And consider switching up potatoes with sweet potatoes/yams, turnips/rutabagas, carrots, parsnips, beets, and the like.

Ok cool advice. Brown rice no good?

I don't really have time to start making eggs and bacon in a morning.

I can eat chicken, salmon and steak although having all three everyday is pretty expensive.

Swapping lettuce with kale is fine.

I can add carrots, turnips etc i already eat broccoli a lot. Ill change new potatoes to sweet.

I'd prefer to keep brown rice but if its no good ill ditch it.

I like to eat 4 meals.

Breakfast - not sure? Something light because I don't have much time.
Meal 1 - at work so limited... I might have to start taking my own. Any ideas?
Meal 2 - salmon, new potatoes/turnips and kale
Meal 3 - chicken thighs, brown rice or parnsips, turnips etc if rice is no good and kale again
Meal 4 - steak, peppers, garlic and kale

I'm reluctant to use eggs at the moment. I've had really bad bloating where my stomach creaks literally all day for the last 2 months. I'm not sure why but will probably have to remove food I usually eat to find out.

I try to cut out all diary but I usually add milk with my eggs and have been using a bit for cereal. I won't use milk again.

    Thanks
