Cheese ball/log/spread. Hints please.
I tried to make a cheese log or balls today. But the result was not quite satisfactory. Gwamma, you said apricots, prunes, cream cheese, grated cheese, right? It made quite a sticky mess, to be honest. I'm thinking I need some more instructions with quantities and methods. How many people make these? Any hints would be most welcome.
Typicaly if you let your cream cheese come up to room temperature and then stir it a bit first it will be smoother. Then fold everything else into it, use plastic wrap to shape as desired and put back in the fridge to firm up. Once a little firmer you can roll in nuts or spices as desired. HTH
