Imagine some mayan scribe chiseling the future dates into the big ass piece of rock calendar. That is hard work. He had to stop someplace. The mayan rulers quit paying him when their civilization went bust and he stopped chiseling. No mystery.

But it's a great excuse for an end of the world party.

I believe there are things that happen that defy current knowledge. A lot of police departments use psychics, so I can't discount that totally. However, for all I know, psychic ability is the result of a brain tumor, or something more paranormal.

I'm not going up to the roof on the 21st. Heights make me dizzy, so that energy shift could be me falling off the roof. Helluva way to greet the coming year.
