Potato feast fast food: Wendy's plain baked potato! I got one today with broccoli while hubby inhaled a cheeseburger dripping with mayo. I also ordered a garden side salad but the contents were disgusting. Didn't have any of it.

This is the beginning of my day 6, and I've lost 3 pounds. My trousers feel a bit looser. Today I will finish my potato soup (two portions left) but my dinner will be "normal" because we are having guests.

I know that 3 pounds in 5 days is not bad at all, but I am not sure it was worth the suffering. I was hungry and cold all the time. My sleep was quite poor, and I hate the bitter taste in my mouth in the morning. I had it all the time under CW and thought it was normal. On Primal I lost it, and now it is back.

Still, I'm glad I have tried this, and I wish good luck to all of you!

That potato bake looks amazing! Beats my unimaginative baked redskins, over and over again.

I, unlike Farfalla, have had a good week, feeling generally well. But I have morphed the potato diet slightly to suit myself. Since I was generally forced to eat a meat and cabbage meal on Day 3, I decided that I feel great eating a bit of meat along with the potatoes, so I added a piece of baked chicken last night as well. Otherwise all potatos for the other meals and snacks. I'm down another lb this morning to 148.0, down a total of 6.5 lbs since Monday and down 2 lbs from the lowest point I reached at the end of last week's 2 day potato trial. Unlike many here, I had a huge rebound over last weekend. I'm hoping that this weekend will be better.

I plan to end my totally potato ways today and over the weekend. But I also plan to do a 2 day potato fast each week, probably Mon/Tues each week. I think it has far-reaching impact on appetite and satiety. And it's dead easy...

But for now, I'm off to cook a couple of my own, back-yard-raised, free-range eggs for breakfast. I've missed them more than anything else this past week.

Hi folks, I guess, I am too late to the party, but since:
    - my husband took care of 2 days' worth of stew in a record time,
-AND I am growing desperate to get a beach-ready body by December 29th, but the weight won't budge despite pretty decent eating & exercise program
-AND my daughter woke us at 3 am

the stars aligned so I boiled all remaining potatoes in the house. They weighed 1760 g raw, so, I would record as 1700 g for skinning. If I stick to just that, I promised myself an apple in the evening, as 1,200 calories will be like a total success. Yesterday I ended up with 1,900.

I am starting at a horrid 127 lbs of weight. I normally do a control weigh in on Saturday, so that's when I will record BF% and measure up.

I plan to go till Christmas. Buying a 25 lbs sack of potatoes later today before the gym.

I wish I could see the pic so I could salivate! 3lbs is great! That is about where I am coming in at also. My first time around was a wee bit better though for some reason. I have been colder also, but I use to run cold on CW. I took a hot bath yesterday to warm up my bones and that did the trick. Then I was running hot cold, hot cold, like normal

I was full though, so that is different than your experience. I would not want to be cold and hungry either. But it would be nice to know it is a little trick to file away in the event you need it again in the future. Like maybe in the summer time, when you might not notice the cold as much. Just yakking outloud

My sleep has been fine. Pretty good actually. I dont wake up as much during the night hot cold hot cold.

I'll still be around too, Leida - doing Potato Plus as well, whilst keeping cals low, but not THIS
    freaking low.

Martha - I think if you choose your carbs wisely, you will not gain a pile of water weight. I know
none of us eat goldfish crackers here, but my kids do, and when one falls into the sink, a one inch
cracker becomes a THREE INCH CRACKER - (not that you're eating wheat) so I think that if you stick
to veggie carbs, any kind, or even fruit, THEY do not swell up with an abundance of water and stick
to you, but anything else, DOES. I have learned this.... and I don't like it.

Farfalla - I'm going to try that potato bake today - but with just salt... Never thought about
actually baking the shreds... they might come out more even that way for me.

    Day 4 Stats - 12/6/12

    Weight - 124.0 = -1.8

    Food:

    M1: coffee, 120g 2%milk, 15g cream - 111cals

    M2: 200g red potatoes with salt - 178cals

    M3: 140g sweet potato with salt - 147cals

    Total Calories - 437

    Macros:
    P:11g
    C:79g
    F:8g

Exercise: Went to the gym, but only walked on the treadmill, and
not very fast. Also my usual back and forth to school and various chores around
    the house.

    Steps: 15,464 = 7.7 miles

Bodybugg says I burned 2334 cals, so minus the 437 of food equals
    1897 deficit.

I hope today is a hungry day. I don't mind NOT being hungry, but it sure is weird
eating such low calories and NOT being hungry... and no "starving headache" or OTHER
    deleterious effects.

I even went to an art show at the high school last night where they had a HUGE potluck
spread with every kind of junk food and cookies, cakes, pies, cupcakes, brownies, pizza,
egg rolls - you name it, it was there, and I couldn't have given two shits about any of it.

    Wha?

Normally I would have stuffed my face with one of each... Har.

I'm glad today is the last day of potatoes. I still have lots of energy, but I fear I'm pissing
my atrophied muscles out of my toes.

Oh, and though I've been sleeping REALLY WELL, I've been waking up at 5, when I usually
    get up at 6:45.... Whatever!

    +1 on the milestone!

And, whoa, not hungry on <500 cals? I am sooo envious!

It is absolutely the most weirdest thing I've ever experienced. Srsly.
