had another lovely day yesterday. Brilliant weather. The fireman and I went for bit of a sunday drive around auckland which was nice, stopped for a coffee at a cafe beside the water and got a totally different viewpoint of auckland. Nice to go somewhere completely different! Then home for a healthy lunch and a lie in the sun for our vitamin d, read a bit of my book, made some coleslaw and salsa to go with steak for dinner. All in all, a very healthy day with barely any carbs apart from the rice crackers I had with some camenbert pre-dinner. I had a friend come over for dinner who had been away to France for her holidays (her home) and we polished off a bottle of wine between us with plenty of water. I am pleased to report that my bf on the scales dropped below 22% this morning thanks to a bit of healthy eating yesterday. I intend to keep this up.

Yup, shopping with the Farmer is not fun

Congrats on the scale victory! Moving in the right direction.

Have you made the appointment with the specialist about your shoulder yet? Definitely get that taken care of.

I'm jealous of your summer weather. Today here it's been snowy and with windchills of -30C. Bikinis are a vague memory.

hmmm no the shoulder I'm procrastinating on. I really should at least start doing my exercises again before I go to see him, although I dont think it will make a difference, but I should get on and try at least. And Leo has a sore paw at the moment so I will probably need a vet appt later in the week if that doesnt heal by itself (seeing $$$$)... I've got the elisabethan collar on him to stop him licking it so hopefully that will help...

well zoe I am wellington born and I lived in the central city for a number of years and loved it - I understand the reluctance regarding auckland, I was the same, but now I wouldnt live anywhere else. Its all to do with the weather. Its not called windy wellington for nothing... and you are in for a few windy days by the looks of things with the tail end of cyclones!!!

well I deserve some congratulations! I have had my first alcohol free day of the year!!! yes I know... hard to believe. But its definitely been a good day... I havent been 100% good, but mostly. I confess to slipping two of those tiny mini toblerones into my mouth!!! I did have a pad thai for dinner and of course that had noodles in it... but oh well.

I've been sitting in front of the tv tonight (which is rare for any 'length' of time) and I've been watching the golden globes awards.... nothing quite like watching a bit of celebrity back slapping. But I just like to see what the ladies are wearing... they all look so stunning... sigh, I'd love to be able to dress up like that and go to a real "event".

HMMM this morning my bf% jumped right back up again. grrr. I blame the pad thai. oh well its not a disaster just annoying... to be honest I dont think I drank enough water yesterday so perhaps my body is retaining it. Will try to drink more today.

Slept well, late to bed for me, 11pm, lights out 11.10 and slept pretty soundly until about 6am. Nice one! It was raining last night so a bit cooler.
