another update, just had my weekly weigh in and lost a kg. Now really dont ask me how that happened cause I think I've been quite naughty of late (including the poached egg on vogels toast yesterday... yum, naughty but totally worth it) Anyway, I'm happy about that, cause I've been creeping up. My work weight goal is 55kg. So plus or minus 1kg is where I aim to stay. last week i was 55.9kg and so I was a bit worried about that slow creep up. Today 54.9kg.

Anyway back to the filing room!

Might go and see Terry Fator and I would like to see Peep Show with holly madison, but that's just because I've always enjoyed watching her on Girls of the Playboy mansion and holly's world.... yes I know, I admit it, I like to watch trash tv Checked out what was on in San Francisco while we are there and nothing on there either! Hopeless! Thats it, I'm just going to have to gamble my time away
    I haven't even looked into shows yet...and I'm going in 22 days!
I know one day will be spent on a Grand Canyon/Hoover Dam tour...

This might actually make me drink red wine. We all know I'm a complete booze hag when it comes to white wine, wont need to preserve the leftovers cause I will have polished off the bottle, but I'd like to have a really nice red from time to time but I only ever really want a glass. If I'm going to have a NICE red wine, then I want to have it just as nice the next time I drink it, rather than oxidised.
    hmmm

Good luck with the house sale...fingers crossed!

bad sugar craving today. went out and bought lollies. bad lollies. tsk tsk. I have however made a plan to do a stair walk at least once a day, 5 floors up to reception and back. So I've done that, except that I made my buddy run up them and so i only did 4 floors I'm such a bitch, but then he needs to lose some weight so I'm like his personal trainer.

The fireman came in for lunch and we shared my leftovers (lamb stew with mashed sweet potato). I'm getting strict on us spending money this week. We are taking some friends out for dinner on us in the weekend (its their wedding present - I know odd, but what do you get people who've been married before and are middle aged when they specifically say no presents!??) We did think about a voucher for them to go out for dinner, but couldnt decide where, or how much, so we decided nah bugger it, we'll take them out instead and that way we all get to enjoy it!

On a side note about Vegas. We're having some debate about Bellagio or Venetian now. The firemans brother is like a royal ambassador member of Intercontinental so we'd get upgraded at Venetian. But I've done a bit of research and I think I 'd like Bellagio better. I dont know, it's very difficult to decide. The thing would be if we got upgraded at venetian whether we'd get club lounge access where you get free drinks and nibbles and breakfast etc. That could make it worth it. I do like to stay somewhere very nice, I expect a level of luxury - after all, its not cheap going on overseas holidays and certainly not to the states. And the pool thing is going to be important. Sounds like the Venetian pool area is VERY noisy. I dont like noise. God knows how I'll cope with being inside the casinos eh? - I'LL BE FINE IF I'M WINNING !!!!!!

did a bit more research on Bellagio vs Venetian. Think the Palazzo which is also Intercontinental would be better. Sounds like Royal Ambassador benefits will apply (and according to one thing I saw on flyertalk forums, RA members get free minibar and the palazzo minibars have half bottles of Moet in them... hell yeah I'm in)

Dinner last night was thai green curry with cauli rice. a few wines. Had some camenbert and crackers to hold off the wolf that wanted to gnaw my arm when I got home... oh my god, it was awful. The cheese was so bitter, I'm complaining to them today, there is something very much wrong with it. At first I thought it was the crackers, the fireman bought some new ones, and when I read the back of the pack, the "rice" crackers as they were labelled had wheat flour as well as rice... wtf. Must remind fireman to read the back of packets.

Weigh in on my own scales (naked) 53.7kg, 21.9bf. Back down below the 22 mark... wonder if I can stay there all week!!!

Still waiting on offer on the house. getting a bit pissy about it now.

very cool about kgs/bf! bet you look great.

the house offer stuff is tough. i'm going through my own real estate thing, and nervous as all get out. I need to shift into the mindset of it's all going to work out, let go of some control, and act consciously. I felt -- originally -- that it was all going to work out, and now I feel less confident about that!

this is exactly how I feel zoe. I felt confident but as the time passes I think I bet they're going to put in a ridiculous offer. I just feel kind of annoyed. I was told we'd be getting an offer on sunday, its now wednesday noon nearly and I am ANNOYED. So yes, feeling less confident. sigh. impatience is a real bitch.

and nah, I dont think I look great at all, as usual, typically hard on myself. All I ever see are globs of fat. And currently I'm focusing on my face which just seems very saggy/wrinkly. I HATE aging. I suppose I should be grateful that the fireman thinks I rock Are women ever happy... cor I could start a 200 page thread on that!!! hahaha

You've done a lot of research! (More than me )
I think you will have a great time no matter where you stay. It's all in your attitude

Just catching up, you've had a busy week. Keeping my fingers crossed for you for the house offer. The waiting is always the worst.

Nice job on the scale . I hear you on the personal focus on saggy and wobbly bits, I think we see those no matter where we are at, which kind of sucks. At least your fireman sees the real you!

Ah, Vegas...from what I saw, either of the hotels on your list would be fabulous, but of course, if you have the extras, then Moet in the mini bar gets my vote! Both will be supremely luxurious. And the shopping... . And yes, inside the casinos is terribly noisy, constant droning of the machines, and very smoky, as they allow indoor smoking, which is pretty much unheard of most places. I support your plan for gambling and winning....and you should be supplied with nice adult beverages while you play, which is a perk...from their perspective, the more you imbibe, the more you're likely to spend.

tis only 3 months till Vegas!!!!

More research, royal ambassador status will only apply to the firemans brother, so unless we can get interconnecting rooms and I empty out his mini bar daily, possibly not so great for us. However I may talk the fireman into buying ambassador status, $200 USD. You get a free weekend room and upgrade. No free minibar (heh, that could be a good thing) I think Palazzo over Venetian. winencandy I found this site for some cheap tickets to Cirque shows.

Lots of great info on the flyertalk forums about various reward plans. Fascinating. I could spend as long on there as I do on here!
