This is very true. And Owly is right, too. Not all women need to eat 1100 calories a day to maintain our weight. There seems to be a sweet spot for me above which I have all the energy needed to be very active, very happy and cheerful, smile and be friendly to people. When I go below this level (and honestly I don't even know what calorie count it really is, but it's way more than 1100 that's for sure), I get sluggish, dark, sleepy and spend more time just sitting under a down blanket.
