Perhaps adding mustard instead of mayo (due to eggs in mayo) will be good with tuna salad.
Just make sure to save any spicy mustard for the ladies

My eggless breakfasts will usually consist of dinner leftovers...meatloaf is especially delicious for breakfast! I've recently become a fan of sardines, in olive oil of couse, those pack a nice punch of both fat and protein (and calcium since you eat the bones!). They remind me of a lighter tuna taste, but I think the nutritional profile is actually better since you're getting a lot of calcium, and you're eating lower on the food chain as well (less mercury, more sustainable fish population, etc.).

Ok. So you like eggs. And you want them back in your diet.

    Do. Not. Eat. Cake.

Or anything with eggs. For quite some time. Very possibly a year. Maybe two. But really.....nothing - give your immune system a break from them....it's your best bet for being able to eat them with abandon at some point in the future.

Chances are very good that this will work. Your immune system did the right thing for 21 years. I'll remember how to do it again.

Do I start my one to two years from today....since I was FORCED to eat delicious cake at lunch? I was doing so well with the hotdog and hamburger (no bun for either) and then they brought out cake and asked if I wanted the corner piece. Before I could say no, it was in my mouth. I tried saying no, but it is not polite to talk with your mouth full...oh well.

No negative reactions...other than the sugar high. I will stop eating anything with eggs, including cake, to see if this can be cured.

    Thank you Sunshine.

    Perfect.

since I was FORCED to eat delicious cake at lunch?
I was too. No, actually, for me there was no force involved - I fully *chose* cake today. As everyone here knows, we do cupcakes once in awhile (well, the kids do). The Atlanta Cupcake Factory made -especially for Alana - the Sugar Cookie Dreamsicle cupcake this week so I took her to pick one up. Upon arriving, I noted that they had allllll of my favorite cupcakes today but lime holds a special place in my heart and palate. So I decided to eat one. I feel fine and did take glutenease with it. In every possible way, it was worth it and I haven't one smidge of regret. But it'll be a long long long time before another sugary morsel passes through these lips.

The mustard essay (aka "mustard-as-a-marker-for-female-fertility" post aka "mustard-means-it's-your-lucky-day/night" post) can be found here:

Also note that it's probably not just mustard but other spicy and/or vinegary foods as well.

I'm reading with interest since my body also started rejecting eggs about 2 years ago. I have NOT been careful about mayo and all that, but now that I have Cillakat's wisdom ringing in my ears...I guess I'll just have to pony up and give it a go. Thanks as always for the info!

Beefcake (may I call you Beefy? we hardly know each other...) - I tried some duck eggs and actually had a worse reaction, but honestly I think my body was just saying "For cryin' out loud just get over it and stop eating eggs for a while, ya freak! Geez..." I think that's actually what it said. I hope you have better luck!

    Stats as of 3/1/12:
    5'10" female, 38 y/o
Currently 140 lbs., approx 25% body fat
WEIGHT GOAL: lose a bit more body fat and tighten up the rear end...basically, I want to look great naked. Everywhere else is looking great, but my ass/hips/thighs are being a bit stubborn. TMI?
    DAILY MACRO TARGETS: Cal: 1,857. Protein: 100g (400cal). Carb: 75g (300cal). Fat: 128g (1156cal).
EXERCISE GOAL: incorporate 2-3 strength training sessions and 1 sprint session per week.

When I was a child, I had allergic reactions to egg yolks. (Not the whites, though.) I would hard boil eggs, eat only the white, and feed the yolk to my dog. I'm sure Dr. Ornish would approve.

Fortunately, I outgrew this allergy over the years. I eat so many now (especially in the summer) that it'd be rough to find a good substitute. I do know that egg allergies are one of the most common allergies.

LOL. I'm in this with you Beef Cake. I'm twenty and just developed a sensitivity to eggs in the past few months after eating them for breakfast everyday. I eat sausages and leftovers for breakfast now. Definitely miss my eggs so much but willing to make the sacrifice if I can eat them once again. LETS DO THIS
