Doesn't hafta be Tazo green, just so long as it's a green tea or green-white blend. I'm still trying to iron out what it is in the Tazo Calm that makes it work so well, so I can just make up loose leaf tea with only the necessary ingredients.

Upon further research, it seems that chamomile, hibiscus, lemongrass, safflower, sarsparilla, and licorice all are anti-inflammatory and have antibiotic, antifungal, and/ or antimicrobial properties. My next trick is to a find a tasty blend of those with green tea that doesn't invoke some of the other properties (in larger quantities, they are all diuretics or laxatives.)

When you find your perfect blend, you could send each of us a box of tea bags as gifts!!

I think Tazo is very high quality stuff - they use only the best and the parts of the plant that are know to have the beneficial properties. Actually, I've never met a Tazo I didn't like. Pricey but worth it.

Yeah, I'm with you, Siobhan. I just wanted to know why it works so well. I'll keep with the blend, but now I have a way to replicate the effects if it goes away, as things I like tend to do.
Feeling better tonight, even if I am tired from lack of sleep last night. Wonder how much of that was the triple dose of KE blend (same batch, brewed 3 times over.)
Had a shitty chef "salad" (iceberg lettuce mix, 2 grape toms, ranch, and a total of 2-3 oz ham and turkey with crappy ranch) and enchilada soup (think of chicken bouillon soup, ro-tel, cheddar, beans, corn, and chicken all mixed together) for lunch. Never eating from there again, even if it was free. Had spag and squash for dinner.
    No sweets.
Even with the most processed recipe I could find for the soup, I come in at 96g carbs, 31.2g sugar, and 3g added sugar.

If you buy Tazo on Amazon, you have to buy 6 boxes at a time (20 packets each) for less than $30. I didn't think that was terrible, but I don't think I need 120 tea bags (of each flavor). But I guess if you drank 1 every day, that would only last about 4 months... might not get stale in that time.

I think Starbucks sells it solo through their website.

Vitacost has some Tazo boxes that are slightly cheaper than in some stores. But then you have to account for shipping. I just keep an eye out for coupons, but splurge on them anyway because they're worth it. Yogi is also good.
