    Primal Fuel
    Pork chops
( I didn't measure a damn thing here.) Season with cinnamon, cayenne, salt and pepper (approx 1-3 pinches of each per side). Pan fry til done.

    Mango Apple Chutney

    • 1/2 bag of fresh cranberries, rinsed
    • 1 medium apple, cored, chopped small
    • 1/2 mango chopped small
    • 1 tbsp maple syrup
    • 1 cup orange juice
    • 1 large tablespoon of blackberry jam (yes, I found a primal friendly one)
    • teaspoon ground ginger
    • teaspoon cinnamon
    • teaspoon allspice
    • Dash of nutmeg
    • A few shakes of salt

Throw it all in a saucepan and cook on medium heat until cranberries pop and mixture thickens – about 20-30 minutes. Pour chutney over pork and rice/ rice substitute.

    Thanks!

I'm good with the pork chops recipe, I cook like that all the time. I made curried chard to go with dinner tonight, a sprinkle of this, a bit of that, and it came out good! I never would have thought to combine cinnamon and cayenne, though. Interesting combination!

Cinnamon and cayenne actually play well together. Think of mole'. The cayenne brings out the sharper notes of the cinnamon and plays against the savory aspects of the salt, pepper, and cinnamon.

My digital scale must be confused. Even after repeated weigh ins, and shaking the thing, it still says I'm down to 111.6. I haven't seen that number since senior year of high school, if not earlier. 113 was my goal. I'll double check it... no, I won't. I've been using that scale the whole damn time; I won't start doubting it now.
I told myself I'd go clothing shopping when I hit goal. I guess it's time to see what I can find in my size around here that I consider fit to buy. I do need new good black leather boots. I'll probably wait on most of it until next week in Dallas.
I also need to go through my closet and see what fits and what doesn't. I doubt my wide legged blue pants fit anymore. Those were dangerous to wear 20 lb ago. I could probably pull them on without unzipping them, now.
I think I'm happy with my weight and how I look. I need to get back in the weight room, though, and get it toned up.

somehow I manage to leave my intelligence and decorum at the door wherever I go. I doubt your journal will be an exception to that - not on the rug

Wow, congrats! I just went through my closet last night and was sadly not surprised by anything I found. Sometimes closet-shopping is disappointing haha. I did manage to make some space though

Thanks for the congratulations, you two!
I know what I have, which is the scary part. I just have no clue on what of it still fits besides a few beloved pieces I wear every day.
I should probably go to Midland for a bra fitting. I think I'm a 28 now, joy.

So, I've gone through my closet. I lost half my jeans, a pair of work slacks, half my button ups, and most of my cardigans. The button ups and cardigans are in the sewing pile for tailoring, although I don't think the button ups I bought just after college can be tailored down any further without fiddling with the shoulders. I've also gone through my shoes and set aside to replace about a quarter of them with smaller sizes. Even the stuff I kept is relatively loose and I could probably take it in about half a size to a size. It still mostly fits, so I'm not tailoring it.
Judging based on how the majority of my 2s fit, I might actually be a 0 now. That's a scary thought. I've NEVER worn a 0. (When I could've worn a 0, I was still wearing girl's sizes because I don't think 0s existed.) My closet is also an example of vanity sizing in action. I have an old pair of thrifted size 6 Levi's that fit perfectly all the way down to a size 0 blazer I bought a week ago.
