Nice work there...a bit like greasing the sandbag groove.
I recently posted about my Milo Experiment, a progressive linear strength training programme with my sandbag. Read more about it here:

In a few months I'm now at the stage where I have outgrown my 200lb sandbag. Not bad for a commitment of 1 lift per day!

Eating primal is not a diet, it is a way of life.
PS
Don't forget to play!
What is a sandbag, and can you make one yourself with play sand?

When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be.
Just sand inside some sort of duffle bag. I got mine at an army surplus store and the sand was from home depot. When you build yours, make sure to put the sand in several bags so you don't have a bad mess on your hands. I separated mine into 10lb bags and triple-bagged and some have still torn.
I need to get more sand anyway, but I haven't been able to get past 100lbs... it's freaking hard!
this is great. any tips for adding small amounts of weight to homemade bags? one pound sandwich bags perhaps?
I was at an Asian store and had a thought. What if you started with somethink like a 20 lb bag of rice? The bag is usually made out of some tough plastic-like material that would be easy to double bag over (I'd use those super-thick yard waste bags) and should offer some more protection against leakage.
Of course the rice is going to be a bit more bulky than the sand, but probably not too much so.

Is there a special technique to this method?
At what weight do you begin?
Is it just one lift your doing a day?
Sounds very interesting, love some basics to go out and try...

It's reminiscent of Pavel's "Power to the People!" book and routine. In it you performed the deadlift and overhead press every day for only one or two sets of 5, adding weight every session, but it was more cyclical in fashion. After two weeks or so you had to deload and build back up again.
