Vapor Rub- ok/primal? (not to eat) page

Not sure this is the right forum for this question but not sure where else to post it.

What are thoughts on using vicks vapor rub when you have a bit of a cold/flu and are congested and coughing? Seems to offer some mild relief and loosen up some of the congestion.

The listed ingredients: camphor, menthol, and eucalyptus oil all plant derived and do not seem to be overly processed.

Why don't everyone jump down the OP's throat at once! Its a legit question. Symptoms are your bodies way of getting well and are integral to the process.

That said we use vicks vapor rub for the kids, but draw the line and will not use cough syrups or decongestants. Vicks gives plenty of relieve without being a suppressant of the innate immune response.

Maybe this shouldn't have been worded as "is it Primal"....but still worth answering.
