I think you're overthinking this primal thing...
If it makes you feel better, use it. Get some rest, too. For pete's sake, drink some bone broth!
Not sure this is the right forum for this question but not sure where else to post it.
What are thoughts on using vicks vapor rub when you have a bit of a cold/flu and are congested and coughing? Seems to offer some mild relief and loosen up some of the congestion.
The listed ingredients: camphor, menthol, and eucalyptus oil all plant derived and do not seem to be overly processed.

Grok didn't have Walgreens!
Really? Is Vapor Rub primal? Is the computer you typed that question with primal? Use the damn Vapor Rub. Pretend it is herbal scented animal lard or something.
AKA: Texas Grok
Seriously. If you break a leg and need surgery to reset it, pain killer is not primal but I don't think you'll say no to it. Use the damn vaporub. I limit my primal lifestyle to what I put in my mouth (no dirty jokes, please )

Fer fuck's sake. If it makes you feel better, use it. God knows Grok would've if he could've.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, steak in one hand, chocolate in the other, yelling "Holy F***, What a Ride!"

It's unanimous. You're overthinking things. Use the vapor rub.
Why don't everyone jump down the OP's throat at once! Its a legit question. Symptoms are your bodies way of getting well and are integral to the process.
That said we use vicks vapor rub for the kids, but draw the line and will not use cough syrups or decongestants. Vicks gives plenty of relieve without being a suppressant of the innate immune response.
Maybe this shouldn't have been worded as "is it Primal"....but still worth answering.
