Carbing up today, want to eat out. Suggestions!

    Primal Fuel
Training day today, so carbs are high and fat is low a la LeanGains.

So, what are some good things to eat out with? Keeping fat low limits my options. I was thinking about a Publix sub, but I probably won't feel good with all that bread. Plus, I'm not gonna eat it without oil, cheese, mayonnaise, ham and salami so that's basically out. Maybe sushi.

Let's hear what you got. Surprise me.

If you have to keep fat low, eating out is pretty much out of the question. There really isn't any such thing as a carby restaurant meal that also doesn't have plenty of fat (and if there is, it's probably terrible).

You gotta cook at home. I would go with some very well-salted white rice or pasta and a red wine bolognese sauce with lean ground beef. That, or baked potatoes with flank steak or roast beef.

If you do have a local family owned sandwich shop in the area that uses quality ingredients, you might get away with it. We have a place here called Kneaders. They have a terrific turkey bacon avocado sandwich with just a little mayo. It's the stuff of high carb (mostly healthy) dreams! It's REAL turkey (like the kind you eat at Thanksgiving) in chunks with real bacon (I watched them cook it-- def not evil bacos junk).

once a week I have a cheat day where I eat whatever the heck I want. Fat is usually moderate rather than high. It keeps me pretty happy though

I'm not sure where you're from, mate but in the UK we have carvery's. That's about your best option. Just try and limit your potatoes to something fist sized and pile high with the green veg. There's plenty of carbs in veg. Or maybe a massive mixed grill?

Finding actual carby primal food is difficult.

Sashimi. White rice and lean fish for the most part.

    Good protein and good carbs.

Skip the sushi rolls though, as they contain avocado and cream cheese and sauces that add on the fats.

ohhhh, now I want a carvary

again this is depandant on where you are but Nando's is a good option, you can have sides of rice and sweet potatoe, and then just a whole spicy chicken, or just breast fillets if you want to keep the fat low, and now I want Nando's too
