Macadamia Nuts = Fat Bombs of Doom

Why must these addictive little suckers pack such a caloric punch?! I am so switching to almonds.

I have never had macadamia nuts. These are just too expensive here. Have you tried pecan nuts? I might have to look into that again, but I remember seeing that their omega3 to 6 ratio was really good.

ETA. Actually from what I saw on here. 1oz pecan nuts contains:
    Total Fat
20.2g. Saturated Fat 1.7g Monounsaturated Fat 11.4g Polyunsaturated Fat 6.1g

IMO almonds contain too many PUFAs

Whole raw macs are available here in whatever quantity you want to scoop into your bag. Pricey. And freaking delicious. I've just made peace with only buying them once every couple of weeks and accepting that I'll probably eat all of them within 24 hours.

I try not to buy them unless I'm having a hard core craving for them. There's a reason I call them crack-a-damias.

    They are annoyingly addictive.

It's that buttery aftertaste that does it for me.

$3 lb for grass bed beef where you are?! I get a pound of grass fed ground beef for 7.50, and that's as cheap as I can find it. I live in New York state.
