I feel bad neck tension. When I go to gym I avoid exercies involving neck area. When I have to put something on a tall shelf I feel really uncomfortable and something feel nauseated. Anyone have some tips for relieving it?

I have a chronically tense neck - neck stretches (I normally do a yoga/qigong routine per week that incorporates neck stretches, which helps alot) and a massage.

Might have some postural issues and some less than optimal form on exercises. Neck tension and back tension are tied in together, and having one increases your chances of having the other by 75 percent. So why am i saying this? To get you moving...

If I were you I would look up some therapy and massage techniques on google/youtube... I went to one of the best rehab centers in phoenix for my shoulder and tibia injuries... guess what healed me? Youtube.

Yeah everything I mentioned was by yourself. I meant self-massage. I still do it to this day, and my injuries have been recovered for almost a year. And the routines on youtube usually require your body, and maybe a cable. Nothing you couldn't do at a gym.
