I think there is a thread now about Grok and masturbation.

So, yeah - it goes too far.

I don't see that as going too far. Ejaculation has a huge impact on our hormone levels, among other things. It's another health topic to be taken into consideration.

Specifically asking how much paleolithic humans ejaculated is a bit weird, but what they mean to ask is "how much is healthiest".

It is going too far, but then people love to over-analyse. I say unless you're spanking it often enough to cause abrasions, then there is nothing to worry about.

For some guys it is harmful to their over all health. See yourbrainonporn.com

Going too far is relative. Many primals see cutting or dairy as going too far but for some its necessary. And so on.

It all comes down to how far you are going to go to achieve optimum health and life. Everyone has their own measure of what they are willing to do and for most going primal is already too far and for the Op I'm guessing primal is far enough.

For a lot of people, cutting out wheat is going too far.....
Disclaimer: I eat 'meat and vegetables' ala Primal, although I don't agree with the carb curve. I like Perfect Health Diet and WAPF Lactofermentation a lot.

I think going primal is something we should do for ourselves, not over think it, just go with it, and enjoy it. To me, it really is an enjoyable lifestyle (and not a diet) and I've noticed an upswing in many facets of my life after committing to this for just over a year.

But for me, when primal goes wrong is when you (and I did) reach what I call the "paleo evangelist" stage. It's when you get twice as obnoxious as those vegans because what we do is against conventional wisdom. I've seen it happen in friends that have gone primal. Don't go on a crusade. The uninitiated won't believe you unless you tempt them with bacon, then they'll say you're just on Adkins.

    I really like this ^^.

I think it is normal, human, and good to wonder about absolutely anything and everything, from the profound to the just plain dumb and/or weird - how else does any new information come to us, but by someone wondering and then taking action to find out? So in that sense, there is no "too much".

But at the same time, if everything is put to some "Is It Perfectly Primal?" test in regular daily life and food (for example) gets to be kind of like the new eating disorder term "orthorexia", then yeah, your behavior has become out of balance.

I agree. I think we have warped the definition of "diet" to mean fad, instead of diet as what we normally eat on a daily basis.
