    Coconut Oil Question

    Thrive Market
If I use coconut oil as a moisturizer, will I absorb it into my bloodsteam? If I'm already consuming lots of coconut oil, will using it topically have the same effect as consuming more?

I've wondered this same thing! I use it for the severely dry skin on my hands. As a rule I'd say anything you use topically finds its way into the bloodstream to some degree...but I mean, I don't think rubbing it on your skin counts toward your caloric intake or anything, if that's what you're asking.

I like to mix coconut oil with a spoonful of my used coffee grounds. It makes the best scrub I've ever used...and much cheaper and cleaner than one you'd buy!!
