I don't understand the fascination with chest freezers. I know a guy who turned his shed into a butchery. The entire space was like 4 m2 or something. He used it to butcher entire cows, wild hogs, and whatever have you, and stored the meat in a PERFECTLY NORMAL FREEZER that he also kept in this space. In fact, he had two freezers - one for hanging the meat by the hocks to let it mature (and he could fit a large calf into it) and another one for storing the cut-up meat. It was a very, very small space.
If you really want to save money but doesn't have the floor space for a chest freezer, then you might want to consider getting a normal one.
