    Smile Primal Journal ~ Neptunebch

    Primal Fuel
Introduced myself here on Oct 18, 2012.

Began counting calories on June 8, 2012 at 243 lbs.

Lost about 10 lbs. per month eating CW healthy though September 2012.

Started reducing processed carbs October, 2012

Began Primal WOE about mid October, 2012 at about 212 lbs.

    Today November 8, 2012 ~ 202 lbs.

For some reason I have been 202 lbs. since October 28th. Eleven days and no weight loss.

Every morning: 15 minutes of stretching and 10 minutes of exercise for arms and 1 min 30 sec plank.

Week 6 of C25K training for Turkey Trot on Nov. 24th. Goal will be 5k in 40 minutes

Last Sunday walked 5.6 miles with interval jogging on the return half. Took me a long time to warm up

B: 2 mini crustless quiche, smoothie, decaf coffee, 1/2 cup coconut milk
L: 3 ounces salmon cooked with olive oil, 1 cup chard/leeks cooked in butter/evoo, 1/2 yam with butter
D: ?? don't know yet - probably steak but lunch really filled me up and there won't be too many calories left over since I had the turkey jerky.
    S: 2 ounce turkey jerky
Water: Enough to sink a boat

    BP: 103/60

Mood: a little on the calm side with a dash of optimism. It is easy to feel optimism when I have so much encouragement from family and coworkers that dish out the compliments daily. That is also a little overwhelming.

Biggest Loser challenge at work: Nov 5 through Feb 25th. Goal lose 30 more lbs....14% of my current body weight. Let's see - since June 8th I have lost 16.9% of my original body weight so 14% will be hard but maybe doable if I can ever get under 200.

Cardiologist said I would be good at 170-180...what does he know. I will be good at 148. Even if I look like Olive Oyl I want to weigh 148.

Easy chicken enchiladas not so easy but after adding more spices and letting the sauce sit in the fridge overnight it was delicious. Note to self. Try to make authentic enchilada sauce from dried peppers.

Not that anyone will make it this far reading my daily activity but if by chance you have, thanks for your interest and if you have any positive thoughts or suggestions I would LOVE to hear them.

46 degrees is perfect for walking - right? right? Why am I such a wimp?

    B ~ not until 9:30 a.m. Smoothie ~ 237 calories
    S ~ 11:00 - 2 mini crustless quiches ~ 200 calories

    Walk - hopefully 20 minutes - 3.5 - 4.0 mph

Scale still stuck on 202 - whatever - probably because I have not been getting in my daily 1 or 2 twenty min walks because I don't like the weather.

46 and partly cloudy - I can do this.

Got a new ginger cookie recipe on FatSecret from Mom2 that I will try. Ground almonds/coconut flour...first try at baking low carb. Hope it doesn't make me crave a "cookie-cookie".

Okay - 46 is PERFECT. Started out bundled up and ended up shedding scarf and gloves. 1.5 miles, 3 flights of stairs in 22 minutes. I calculated the miles previously with my car but since it is a trail it might be longer due to curving in and out.

Guess I have neglected this journal. Holidays plus journaling on FatSecret.

    Weight 187 lbs.

B - 1 egg, 1/2 egg white, tomato slice, red onion slice, mozzarella stick all diced into a great omelet. I make whole omelet and divide into 2 so I have 2 days worth of packable breakfast.
L - eating as we speak, Whole Foods hot bar, country pork ribs, orange beef, spinach, zucchini, broccoli a few green beans and a couple of roasted sweet potatoes from their salad bar. Yum

I need to finish reading the Primal Blueprint. I'm losing weight but I don't think I'm truly getting all the benefits that I could be. I'm probably 98% Primal

Participated in the Thanksgiving Turkey Trot and came in 3rd in my age group which was really a great thing. I felt wonderful.

    Weight 182

Monday - IF today until dinner
D will be salmon, leftover butternut squash and brussel sprouts.

I think I need to cut down on the winter squash because of the carbs - that and the dark chocolate.

I want to try the "Eat Moar Fat" challenge soon.

    182 still - sigh

B-2 eggs, spinach, extra aged gouda, tomato, scallion, bacon, kerrygold
    L-salmon, broccoli, winter squash
    D-???

3 days now without my decaf coffee and drinking decaf green tea. Trying to find why I am having bathroom issues still. I really believe that is must be my Coreg that not only slows my heart but slows my intestines as well as my brain.

I'm happy to be me today though. It is now 2 weeks at my makeshift standing desk at work. (4 file boxes). Looks kind of weird in my cubicle but I'm surrounded by plants and feel like I am burning more calories. My back is really happy too.

Still looking at possibly eating more fat but not ready until I get my gut straightened out.
