    Eating plain fat

    Primal Fuel
Hello, does anybody have some experience eating plain fat. For example, sometimes when i am outside home, instead of eating the common, i go to the groceries and buy 100g of butter. Sounds weird to me. Anyway i wanna know your thoughts.

No problem with it. Not conventional, so CWers might think you're weird, but that's a sign you're doing something right.

I eat butter if I don't have any avocados lying around if I need the calories. It's digestible, it's food, go ahead.

I used to eat straight butter as a kid. And my kids slice some off and eat it too. Nothing wrong with it.
Disclaimer: I eat 'meat and vegetables' ala Primal, although I don't agree with the carb curve. I like Perfect Health Diet and WAPF Lactofermentation a lot.

I do it too. If I am short on fat and calories for the day, and I am not hungry. No worse than putting it in your coffee.

Made beef bone broth over the weekend. After straining the brew I seasoned and ate the thick globs of fatty connective tissue. My wife gagged as I put in my mouth.

Butter, fatty skin from any birds I get that aren't 100% grain-fed, fat from red meats and, of course, olive oil and fish oil to help when feeling ill or suffering a dehydration-headache (I come from a hot country and live in the UK, so I'm very used to only drinking when I feel warm, which worked there, but obviously doesn't here!).

All good. My fav is NZ lamb or chicken fat, roasted or fried in butter until crispy... Mmm! Lamb-cracking is MUCH better than pork crackling and pork crackling is amazing, so get yourself some lamb fat! ;p

Sure, I have whale blubber and sometimes my butter has teethmarks on it.

    It's all good.

My favorite way to take in fat is through the instant fat bomb known as grass fed cream. 1c has 800 cals. I usually have 1/2c when I make a protein shake, or hot chocolate.

i always cook my roasts so there is crackling on them if they have fat. the rinds left after making tallow are good snacks too. lamb and venison are my favourite.
