Room temp steak wrapped in bacon grilled on charcoal grill. If you like rare, you just wait until the bacon is "done" and steak will still be very rare. Watch for flare-ups from the flame though. I suppose this would be good as a pan-fry too, though I tend to not get very good results when steak is sitting in any sort of liquid.

For ground meat, add some ground beef liver. Instant flavor that will stand up to spaghetti sauce and curries quite well!
