    You might find you don't need all of those supplements after you start eating Primal. I wish you luck on your journey.

    LOVE love love horses. I consider you a very lucky man. Owning a horse is on my bucket list.

    I also foster. Canines. You sound like a kind man.

    Keep us posted. I would not try to lose weight quickly, but instead just change your eating and try to stay active within your shoulders' limits. Those baked goods will have to go for a bit. There are primal alternatives. I downloaded a primal corn-free cornbread last night if you care to have it. Uses coconut flour. I think it would be best to not eat any baked goods for the first 30 days to unlearn that need.

    Ty for your kind words Pam. Not sure I'm a kind person or not but I try.

    My loving, good natured, well intention'd, crazy baking wife, has looked at some Paleo deserts. Tried a couple but did not turn out so well with coconut flour. Really dry. She added 3 times the amount of coconut milk to the recipe that it called for and still was not good. She says she needs to experiment with it I guess. I'm not trying to eat any baked goods this first month. Sunday was bad as we had our foster child on relief and they all came here for Sunday supper. Wine and baked goods came out...LOL but hey....it's one day and we had a great supper together.

    Greetings from another cold spot in Canada - Edmonton. I am following your posts, and wishing you the best. Probably a dumb question, but what is "tapping" that you mentioned? And what is a "grounded bed"?. I am in awe of your swimming regime.

    awwwwwww good ole Edmonchuck. I'm originally from Sask. Worked a lot out in Alta and did some rodeo'ing.

    How it works I have not idea, I just know it works. I've had a fear of dogs all my life. I was bit on one side of the face when I was 3, off to the hospital to get stitched up. Next day, got bit on the other side , off to emerg again. I don't remember it but I've been deathly afraid of dogs. I did just general tapping for fears. One day walking dogs ran out at us and it was me protecting everyone. Surprised the hell out of me. I've used it for a lot of things. Our foster daughter uses it for anger issues. The link is Brad Yates, he's the best I've found, look at all his video's. There is also a documentary, tapping, use it on everything.

    Grounding is just what it sounds like, being grounded to the earth. I've taken a stake, drove it into the ground outside our bedroom window and have a wire that comes into the bed. Have a piece of conductive material that I lie on. Also have a set up under the computer desk to put my feet on while in front of it. This guy has a bunch of vids on youtube. One good one is where he does a seminar on it.

    Thank you for the links. They made fascinating reading. I'm guessing you have chronic pain due to earlier work related injuries. Have the alternative treatments helped?
