Hello, Primal World,

I used to be mostly Primal (before this concept existed) in my 20s and early 30s. I've never particularly liked grains and starches. I've always loved meat. Then a high cholesterol reading sent me into high-carb/low cal./low fat hell and my metabolism has suffered ever since.

I've been returning to my more natural way of eating for the last couple years. While I'm reluctant to say that I'm purely Primal, I'm mostly so.

I'm a 60 year old female, participating in my first power lifting competition next month. Two major surgeries a year apart have left me sadly overweight -and out of the habit of moving (when it hurts to moves...you don't). Recovered now, and getting back to feeling 35! (the sweet spot!)
