primal for 5 days so far

    Primal Fuel
    hi all
my names cath and ive been primal for about 5 days so far,
am really enjoying the complete change in my eating habits and i have to say at least so far i dont miss grains and sugar
i do have some sugar in things some honey in a cuppa or a sweet ish style sauce to dips my chicken and corriander meatballs in but as a whole im not consuming any extra, i have lost 1 kg so far and i feel ... light no feel of bloating at all which has been a problem.

i originally decided to change up my eating habits because i was just feeling bleh, thats my word for no energy and just a general feeling of not wanting to do anything , i was eating poorly and not doing any where near as much exercise as i would usually do , so decided a change was needed did some research and came across this site and it all just made wonderful perfect sense to me!

looking forward to reading all the delicous recipes and everyones forum posts !

It just gets better - just stay focused on real foods and enjoy the ride.
Eating primal is not a diet, it is a way of life.

I've been primal for a week and I am loving it. The problem is I started asking myself for how long can I last?

    Hi guys,

I'm about to go primal but feeling like i don't really know how to start this, i have the 21 day plan book, but no one else seems to be doing it that way? Any tips on how you got started would be amazing. Want to be prepared I know what to eat and not to eat, balances of proportions on plates, good snack ideas etc. thanks

The easiest thing to say is just cut the grain.
That, i would say, is the single biggest food item in this philosophy.
And it will make the biggest impact to how you feel and how you prepare meals if you are coming from a CW diet.

After that, it's cooking in/with better quality oils: dripping/lard/butter/coconut/olive, losing beans/legumes, maybe cutting down on dairy (i'm on cheese, yoghurt, double cream because they're good for fat calories)

Great thanks Greenbeast and apologies for hijacking this thread a bit.

I've already cut out beans and legumes for months now and also most wheat, although i do eat gluten free so have to just cut out rice and all gluten free stuff too now. I do still eat dairy but maybe need to figure out different and best types to eat.

i don't have a problem with dairy, but given that i stopped eating cereal (obv.) and cream was better for extra fat in my coffee i stopped using milk at all.

    Great thanks Greenbeast.

What do you all eat for breakfast now that you've cut out cereal?
