Just found this recipe at allrecipes. com and it helped me out with the old "what am I going to do with all this cabbage I harvested??" Awesome comfort food now that winter's approaching and primal approved for sure.

Fried Cabbage with Bacon, onion & garlic

6-10 slices bacon chopped
1 large onion diced
2 cloves garlic minced
1 large head cabbage cored & sliced (I used red 'cuz that's what I grew)
1 tbsp salt or to taste (I used lots less)
1 tsp. ground black pepper
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp paprika (didn't have any so I sustituted a few hits of cayanne pepper)

Cook bacon in large stockpot over med-high heat 'til crispy, about 10 minutes.
Add the onion & garlic, cook & stir 'til onion caramelizes, about 10 minutes.
Immediately stir in the cabbage and continue to cook and stir another 10 minutes.
Add seasonings, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, about 30 minutes more.

Interestingly you never pour off any bacon fat...it mixes in! Grok would be proud.
