let's say if stuck strictly to pull ups for a couple weeks, and then moved on to a new exercise to do grease the groove, would i start losing progress on my pull ups? after pull ups i was thinking about handstand push ups possibly? i don't want to lose gains i make on pull ups, so i was just wondering.

How much progress did you make on your pullups in two weeks?

Why do just one movement? How often are you doing it? What about time to recover?

If you don't provide a stimulus to the muscle, you will lose your progress eventually... how long it would take would be hard to tell.

i only got up to four pull ups because my reps were so low to begin with. when i'm doing something unproductive, like watching tv, on commercial breaks i did 1 pull up or chin up, varying my grip. not as much time to do it during the week because of school though. about to test my max soon with 40 pounds in a weight vest and do a grease the groove variation with that.

    1) After you do four, do you attempt another set?
    2) how many times in a week do you perform chin ups?
    3) do you go to failure?
