most people here probably do not eat peanuts because they are legumes, not nuts (myself included)
sunflower butter is very similar to peanut butter, maybe try that?
i don't really understand why you want to switch, in any case.
Once or twice a week I like to have a smoothie for lunch which consists of:
Almond Butter
Almond Milk
Coconut Milk
Protein Powder
Banana
Strawberries
I looked at the nutritional information of Almond butter versus Peanut butter, and they're almost identical. Since I've already done the Whole30 and am now just trying to remain fat-adapted, is it really a big deal if I have peanut butter in my smoothies instead of almond butter?

I just prefer the taste of Peanut Butter!
I think the problem with peanut butter is both anti-nutrients and the fact that they often have mold or something. I can't quite remember, but most legumes have anti-nutrients.

All nuts, including non-nuts like peanuts, are prone to mold. Make sure you get good quality peanut butter that doesn't include junk like canola oil or added sugar, if you are going to use it.
As others have mentioned, peanuts are not nuts, they're legumes. They're high in omega-6, and really not too good for you. If you like them, go ahead and have some, but keep in mind the stuff you mostly find on shelves are the stuff with added sugars, hydrogenated palm oils, gums, stuff that's not good for you. Make sure the ingredient list only contains peanuts or salt or sugar.

Eh I eat peanut butter once in awhile. The concern is with the anti nutrients in it, but honestly Almond butter isn't too great for you either. So, I wouldn't worry about it too much if its an all natural peanut butter (peanuts, salt.) But I wouldn't eat it everyday...
I tend to get bloated on peanut butter, and don't enjoy almond butter at all, but I LOVE sunflower butter. Trader Joe's makes one with just sunflower seeds, salt, and evaporated cane juice. It's the 20 to my 80![]()
