Yal except this WAS my goal for this PAST Memorial Day. arrgghhhh Weight loss crawled when I went higher (and even higher) fat, but I tried to give it time. ugghh.

And it didnt matter what my deficit was. I always had a deficit. Shifting macros seemed to do the trick, for me anyways. I will stay with lower fat when I come off my taters. Will ride this train until it stops

This thread is a HOOT! I love it! I'm on the candida diet and potatoes are out, and I don't need to lose any pounds, but I still love it. Who knew?! I've read all of both threads and am utterley intrigued.

I'm especially interested to know what happens when normal primal eating resumes....no weight gain expected?

Stayed tuned next week for another exciting episode of How the Spud Turns.

    haha

okay, so anyways Otzi said he kept something like 6 or 8 of his 10 off, I think? So I am curious also. I know when I come off my fasts and go back to fat, I gain. This time I came off my fast and went lower fat for 3 days w/taters, and kept losing and then transitioned right on into all taters and kept losing. So I am extremely anxious to see also. My 2lbs loss yesterday was awesome, but the other days were the same rate as my lower fat days, so I am curious how this will all play out.

I haven't really read through the entire thread, but do sweet potatoes have the same protein profile? Or nearly the same? Or does that not work? Also, how does this work if you're exercising lifting heavy things/sprinting for 2-3x/week?

Keeping a few stats over the next 7 to 10 days of the Potato Project. Let me know if there's anything I could track that might be interesting to others.

    Thanks/Lu

    Will do!

I think so, too. For sure it would be OK to cycle some sweet potatoes in. Corn grits are fine, too.
