Probably not a surprise to any regulars here, but CBC News kicked off the national news tonight with a report on two studies that were released today that support the idea that there is no direct evidence to support the use of antihypertensive (beta-blockers) drugs for mild blood pressure. The numbers (dollars and people using them) were staggering for Canada - I can't imagine what it is costing in the US.
