Probably not a surprise to any regulars here, but CBC News kicked off the national news tonight with a report on two studies that were released today that support the idea that there is no direct evidence to support the use of antihypertensive (beta-blockers) drugs for mild blood pressure. The numbers (dollars and people using them) were staggering for Canada - I can't imagine what it is costing in the US.
Would be great if people impacted by this shared this information with their doctors.

That makes me glad my dad is off his blood pressure meds. He's still taking his statins though.
