So, it seems like this is the rice discussion thread.
I basically don't eat it anymore, but when I do, it's pretty much all bismati rice.
But suddenly I have a hankering for home-made Sushi. Is Bismati a good rice for that? Or should I get some short grain white rice?
pro-tip: The secret to making good sushi is all about the rice preparation. Soak/rinse the rice several times, then cook it in a 1-1 ratio with water (basically the rice should be *starved* of water while being cooked through. that makes it sticky and clumpy)
Disclaimer: I eat 'meat and vegetables' ala Primal, although I don't agree with the carb curve. I like the Perfect Health Diet a lot.

This thread is weird. I don't eat rice. I don't think there is such a high volume of people here who eat rice regularly to make this thread relevant.
