On the morning news today they reported that scientists have figured out how to manipulate dairy protein to make it possible for lactose intolerant folks to drink it...before the cow is milked. This makes store-bought milk even less attractive - not that I am drinking ANY milk right out outside of cream in my coffee. They didn't say if it was ready for marketing yet, it may still be a few years away. I suppose it isn't a surprise they have gone this direction.
So along with rBGH and IGF-1 there will be more things for the consumer to think about. Hopefully they WILL.
One Green Planet posted about this back in May.
