I don't really do any calorie counting, so I can't break it down that precisely.
I am one female cooking for myself. I eat 2 meals a day and occasionally a piece of beef jerky at "lunch."
I spend ~100 US dollars a week on groceries.
I found some threads about money. But I have no idea how much everybody eats. So I wonder how much money do you spend a day/week and how many calories do you eat a day/week? I feel like I spend 10 more than everybody here. I'll probably move to the states asap
I'ma eat this beat like a beef eatin vegan

Hmm...
Our grocery bill was about $600 last month, of which about $450 was actual caloric foodstuffs for humans (also includes alcoholic beverages, Pellegrino, dog and cat food, etc.). I eat about 2/3 of the calories since I am the large male in the house, say roughly $300 worth. I take in anywhere from 2000-3500 calories per day, say 2750 as an average.
($300/mo) / (30 days/mo) = $10/day.
($10/day) / (2750 kcal/day) = $0.0036/kcal or $3.63 per 1000 kcal.
Keep in mind all of these are rough estimates.
Also, I really wouldn't suggest anyone move to this country given the insanity of the political climate, but that's your choice of course!

I would recommend moving to the US. Go to one of our great universities. You'll love it. If you like pretty girls, you'd especially like attending UC Santa Barbara.
To answer your question, first consider that I
a) get some of my food purchased by someone else,
b) purchase some food I don't eat myself and
c) eat some food that is free (well, if you don't count the water bill that I don't pay.)
A rough ballpark guess is about 1.5 cents per calorie or $30 per day.

I would say I'm probably around 15,000 cals per week, and we spend $500-$800/mo on groceries for a family of 3. Not sure how many cals hubby & kid eat. I let the kid eat what she wants, when she wants most of the time (unless it's close to meal time, and we keep our fridge stocked with primal kid staples-- cheese, fruit, yogurt, etc). The man takes leftovers to work for lunch or a sandwich, with fruits and veggies, and usually has a cliff bar for breakfast (not primal, but there's probably worse things he could eat)

We spend about $0.009 per calorie. $1,000 per month for two adults who average about 3600 calories a day in total (1100 cals average for me, 2500 cals average for the hubby).
$400/month for an average of 2700 calories/day.
So I spent $0.005 per calorie.
eating the way we do can be a bit pricey. my girlfriend's brother is a huge critic of the paleo lifestyle and I've heard him call it elitist on several occasions.
I've adopted this philosophy; we're gonna pay for health either coming or going. now up front with quality food, or exorbitantly in medical bills later in life.
