I read somewhere that too much porn also gives men unrealistic views of what *most* women like and what *most* women look like. I think its like anything else- it is what it is. Some people probably need to watch a lot less. As long as it doesn't interfere with a healthy relationship.

I think things have gotten more intense. Yeah, all the guys had a copy of playboy and could see tits and ass and pubes when they were 12. Not so sure though that young kids need access to gang bang porn though..... ya know?

To expand, I think it is fine if some adult guy (or gal) likes to masturbate while watching bizarre porn. They get it. They have had real relationships and understand the types of sex. They get that maybe the cute girl on the date isn't into anal or bondage. They understand foreplay and ways to show affection and all sorts of shit. If someone is a deviant, so be it, their partner probably knows and likes it. Pretty sure my husband watches porn, LOL, but he is still great at sex and it's a good thing.

But its the kids that do kind of give pause. Again, all good to see parts and copulation at a young age, but some of the readily available stuff that is more about degrading/abuse/domination of women versus simple pleasure..... I dunno, that seems like it could really mess with a mind of a kid that hasn't had a real relationship yet. Again, all well and good for adults to enjoy, but if kids don't know the context, I don't know.

The latter is far worse because it's an "arousal addiction", which actually and paradoxically decreases the sex drive. Conversely, I'd guess that a dude looking at a centerfold in 1970 would just look, shoot his wad, and then go on about his life. (This is my guess about the standard behavior. But who knows?)

Myself and MANY other dudes, though, can admit that there is a huge, huge experiential difference between quickly jerking off to a single image and then surfing through porn (which is so addictive that two and three hours can pass without even realizing it.) Any guys wanna corroborate that?

I don't think that anybody here would ever want the government to get involved with this in any way. It's the same concept as eating paleo: give people the information, and then let them make their own life decisions. I think that the libertarian-dominated paleo community overwhelmingly agrees with this (although there are undoubtedly some political busybodies amongst us. This is America, after all.)

As far as the fetish porn goes, I think that that's where it all ends up because if the addiction is to novelty, than the momentum naturally takes you to more and more kinky stuff (although I have heard that there are WAY more people into being the recipients of "domination" than the givers of it amongst both sexes, but I guess that's kind of a semantic issue).

If you watched the final five minutes or so of the video, you can see that the health effects are, ironically, even worse for young men than older men, because older men at least have the foundation of healthy sex. Conversely, the generation now in their twenties has had internet porn as the standard sexual concept since their childhood. But the good news is that the effects are reversible (though not necessarily entirely reversible). It just takes younger men longer to right the ship.
