I had the flu shot 2 years ago (H1N1 and regular), as it was strongly suggested to everyone in our field (medicine). I felt like I was hit by a mack truck the next day - I had full-on flu symptoms for a day. Felt fine afterwards, but I felt that unless I was going to come into contact with LOTS of people with the flu, e.g. working in the ER full-time, it wasn't worth it to get the shots. Didn't get it last year and don't intend on getting it this year, either.

My doctor has to have the flu shot. He had the same reaction Eye of round...

I have never had one. I have no opinion. I just do not like anything artificial in me. I have had enough shots in my life. I am hoping to live with out anything. I currently caught some virus. I am not taking any pills for the first time in my life. I am using a netty pot and drinking lots of water and eating less.

I hate getting the flu shot, and would much rather take my chances. I'm pretty sure I'd be fine without it, but that's not an option. my job requires me to get it. Can't wait to retire, but that's gonna be awhile.

My job requires it as well. If you refuse, you have to wear a surgical mask the entire time you are at work. Failure to wear the mask will result in termination.

I do have a bad immune system and I still don't get the flu shot.

I didn't bring the subject up for a debate, I truly want opinions. I work for a company that said if we do not receive the flu shot this years we will be terminated and they have legal backing on this. Puts me at a disadvantage and I have conflicting opinions about this topic.
