ANYTHING in a tetra-pak is DEAD. It's enzymatically neutralized, hence it has a shelf life of indeterminate years or decades! It is NOT food, imo. In about 1991, when I first was warned about tetra-pak Organic Rice Dream, I did a test. I made a batch of fresh organic medium grain brown rice, let it cool some, then I ground it up, strained it & made rice milk. I sucked down a litre and though I was stuffed, I was ok. I digested it & slept normally that night. The next evening I repeated the test, but this time, it was with 2 Organic Rice Dreams. It felt like I had swallowed iron balls. My stomach hurt! I slept poorly & the next morning & day, I felt sluggish. So that was enough to convince me. I've never bought or used them since, not soups, not drinks, nada...
