Grains Are The Food of Livestock

    Primal Fuel
I mean, it's the stuff you feed something that you want to "just get by" health wise. You want them to live and grow, but not thrive. It's the cheap crap that you throw at something to keep it alive, with as little expense to you.

For those in extreme poverty, where grains are one of the only foods they can acquire, I understand. But when you have a choice? No thanks.

Is this analogy correct? Is this why governments subsidize wheat/corn/etc? Because it's the cheapest fuel to keep the masses working?

Also, it's used to 'fatten them up" quickly, which is worth noting how it might be affecting our population.

Food security is a national security issue- a lack of food will cause unrest far more quickly than a lack of gasoline. The US government subsidizes farmers so that the country can at all times be self-sufficient in food. Without the subsidies, a lot more farmers would have gone out of business when they had a bad year or two.

Unfortunately, the subsidies have been abused by huge corporate monster farms, which are undercutting the family farms anyways.

What's the difference between the average american worker and livestock? Except that the livestock get to die quickly and painlessly.

You write as if government subsidies could actually have some kind of benefit which is entirely false.

Government can only distort the free market which can only cause problems and lower everyone's standard of living. It is physically impossible for a government to do anything which is overall beneficial. All government action is violent action, and nothing good can come from violence.

Which is why the people of Atlantic Canada are better. We're smart enough to only do what we want. And the new laws on unemployment will just make us into poachers, so screw you, harper!
In all of the universe there is only one person with your exact charateristics. Just like there is only one person with everybody else's characteristics. Effectively, your uniqueness makes you pretty average.
