It's not the size of the gun, but whether you can hit the target that matters.

yep I have had the odd experience with saveloys/chipalatas !!!!!!!

Do you use a sausage for that? (Oh dear Lord, I'm gonna get myself a reputation on MDA to equal the one I have on the Iggles).

Oh, I agree with the rifle.... but in dense population areas, a high powered rifle may not be a good choice.... particulary if you are a crap shot!

Do you have a deer season, or are they considered a nuisance animal and can be taken at any time?
you need a fully supressed high powered rifle LOL and obviously we always identify our target and generally hit it. if it is a decent gun with a good scope and you make sure you lean it on something, it is quite difficult to miss. we dont have a deer season as such, other than the ROAR, but i will try not to be too rude about that. basically if you cant shoot a large, noisy animal who isnt paying attention at this time, either there arent any or you are a crap shot. you do need permits for shooting stuff but that covers the gun aspect not the deer. certain areas get blocked up for the roar so as you get an area which you are allowed to hunt in. usually at least one person a year or more gets shot by being mistaken for a deer during the roar so it is not the smartest time to go tramping.

actually Seas - we have had a heap of deaths over the last few years - and you really have to wonder how, why, who...... but I am not a hunter so I possibly shouldn't comment!
