Just poking my nose in to see whats going on... It seems all is quiet... which is a good thing. I spent the morning making a breakfast sausage from 2.5 lbs of deer and the same of pork butt.... holymoly it is good! I have 5 lbs of the butt left and am trying to decide what kind of sausage I want to make with it.... maybe a chorizo...

Chorizo sounds yummy! If you have some liver and rice, you could make boudin. Tons of recipes online, and even though the original uses pork liver, chicken liver is also used, so I think just about any liver would do.

:::Now drooling and going to freezer to defrost one of the remaining boudin sausages.:::

Survived Saturday's yule festivities with the family... more food than a company of Marines could eat! paella, meat pies, lumpia, mini quiche, sausage and cheese tray... sauerkraut cake... and lots of noise made by young children... the adult drew names for gifts..... and I got a box of 100 shotgun shells! My boy knows his old man! lol

Today is a moderately long run... 16 miles, and it is raining and cold.... get to try out the new rain gear!

That sounds like a fantastic feast and gathering! I did have to google sauerkraut cake - who knew? But it sounds terrific.

16 miles - you have my admiration as always.

Happy New Year, Doc-licious one! May your runs take you far - okay that could be taken two ways. I meant it the good way.
